Decorating Bookcases

Decorating bookcases can be tricky (at least for me). I have several flanking my T.V. and they have evolved over the last 4 yrs. I can't tell you how many times I've changed them. They are either crammed or sparse! I definitly have more decorative accessories than books. The one thing I've learned is to create different levels, this adds interest. I think I'll leave these alone for a while. (for now;)













Is it hard for you to decorate bookcases? I know I probably need more books and less stuff! Later on in the week I'll show you the tops of my kitchen cabinets. Those were hard too!

Oh my goodness. I love the vignettes you created in the bookcases.. especially the bird bookends..and I'm obsessing over the dog.. Your bookcases look perfect so now you need to come and rearrange mine! I do have trouble with them. I have a 3 piece ent. center with lots of shelves and can never seem to get it just right. Like you said, either too much stuff or not enough. I need to add some books to mine and try to create some different levels to be more interesting. Yours really do look GREAT!
