The Reveal!!

Hey Guys! It's time for the reveal! This big beautiful home belongs to a good friend of mine. We started decorating her house several years ago after she moved in. I say "we" because my former boss and friend Sherry helps me. This house is a 2 day job and it definitely takes the two of us to get it done. Some of you might remember it from last year too...it got a lot of attention! This year we decided to redo the garland on the staircase. Some of the lights were out and stuff was starting to fall off. So we found some beautiful ribbon, poinsettias, glittered leaves, and hanging beaded berries. It took me about 6 hours to put everything together. Those stairs go on and on!
Here is a closeup of the ribbon and beads...they are beautiful!
This is the mantle in the formal living room. I added some beautiful rhinestone garland and a little bit of the ribbon in the staircase to tie everything together.

This tree is big...but not as big as the last tree I decorated! Sherry worked on this tree while I finished the garland.
I did the top of the tree and added the new ribbon. I'm the one that gets up on the ladder! lol...
Isn't this home something??!! I think I can fit my whole house in this room! lol...

This is in the dining room... I made the large arrangement on the table.

I decorated the chandy with red glass like berries and ornaments.

This garland is in the family room.
I love those hanging beaded berries!
This tree is so fun with lots of cute ornaments!
This garland was so heavy and hard to put up but we finally succeeded! I should have taken more pics of the outside, there is more!

I hope you enjoyed everything and maybe came away with some ideas for yourself! I am worn out!! I have a craft show coming up on Sat. so I will be busy working on it. I still have another house to decorate on Friday too. I will post more pics soon!! Thanks for stopping by!

The Christmas Decorating Has Begun...Come And See!!

Hey guys! I've been busy! I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I have to start early in order to get all my houses done. This is a client's home I worked on yesterday and today. She is the one that loves the mesh ribbon. And Yes...this tree took a while to decorate... almost 4 hours! I helped this sweet lady last year after she just moved into this beautiful home. Some of you might remember me posting some pics. This year we decided to add more ornaments and ribbon to the tree and stairs to make them even more fabulous! This tree is a 12 footer! I love the way it turned out. The whimsical lime green and red are really popular this year. Click to enlarge.

Wow! It's gigantic! She just found the cute tree skirt and it looks perfect!
She bought alot of the ornaments at Sam's and pier 1 Imports. See the circle garland? She bought it at the Cracker Barrell, it's really fun and contemporary!

I think she is going to have a family portrait done for the niche, that will be beautiful!
More ribbon and ornaments made the garland apear thicker and really add the "umph" it needed. The piece in the middle of the cabinet is a wooden sculpture.

The ribbon and oranments are all from Sam's. They have some wonderful things!

I dressed the chandelier up with garland, oraments and ribbon.

The jars with ornaments were perfect in the middle of her island.

This home was really fun, but I am glad to be done with that tree...lol! I have much more to show you! I will be doing several more homes in the next few weeks so be sure and stay tuned...Thanks for your visit!!

New Frames Just Listed In My Etsy Store!

Hey Guys! I just wanted to tell you that I have listed several new frames in my Etsy store and will be listing more. I have recently been selling them here on my blog, but decided it might be easier to list them and you can purchase them from there. However, you can e-mail me if you would like a custom frame or if you would rather send a check. Here are some examples of what you will find in my store...

"Santa's on his way frame"
This frame is done in a 3d manner and is embellished with lots of pretty ribbons and jingle bells in the bow. It has a beautiful sleigh inside the glass and reads Santa's on his way" in red glittered letters. It is so fun and whimsical! I usually put one in my bookcase, but these would look great almost anywhere and would make a unique gift!
"Christmas Tree Noel Frame"
This frame is also done in a 3d manner with a glittered "Noel" behind the glass and a rhinestone tree in the middle of the bow. I love using several different ribbons!
"Embroidered Ribbon Frame"
This is my first year to make these type of frames for Christmas. You can put your own photo in them. This one is very elegant! The ribbon is embroiderd and is some of the prettiest I've seen.
"Elegant Butterfly Frame"
I have sold several of these frames recently personalized with an initial. The ribbon I am using is very good quality and is absolutely gorgeous! I am very picky and only want to use the best! The gold butterfly is so pretty too.

"Elegant Bee Frame"
This frame can also be personalized with an initial of your choice or can be left empty for your own photo. I love the blacks and golds together!

Please visit my Etsy store located on the left hand side right under my profile to see these frames and many more. You can click on any of the photos and it will take you directly to my store. Thanks for your visit!!

My New Pillows~ and New Frames are on their way!

Hey guys! I'm in a better mood now after finding out the good news about my hubby! Thank you all for your uplifting comments, I really appreciate your concern. The whole family feels like a weight has been lifted!

Now for some decorating... As you can probably see I took the zebra pillow back (the one in my header). I bought two of them and I just wasn't satisfied. When Kevin and I were up north for one of his appointments we went to the Mall. I found the black pillows and leopard and zebra pillow at Dillard's and the round ones at Tuesday morning. I was thrilled to find these! Most of you remember the black "B"pillow I made, I felt like I needed black on the sofas to tie everything together and balance out the room. Plus I am loving black right now!

The room is much more tied together now. I was hoping the rug and pillows wouldn't be to much pattern in the room. It's alot, but for some reason I don't mind it. I think it's because the sofas are solid. I bought this glass bowl at Hobby Lobby because I thought it was really neat and had a zebra look to it. That's what made me want some zebra pillows!
I feel that touches of black really ground a room and adds a little bit of sophistication, it also makes a statement. I have read that every room needs a little bit of black to sharpen everything else. I guess that makes since!

I wanted to give you a little peek at a few new frames. I will be listing around 35 in my Etsy store in the next couple of days. I have been busy! I look forward to showing you all of my newest creations!

This is just a peek! Be sure and stop back by on Saturday. I should have them listed by then if my schedule goes as planned. I will be decorating a house for Christmas tomorrow so I will be sure to take pictures. Can you believe it's almost that time! Over the next several weeks I will be showing you some of the homes I decorate, frames, how to make a tree topper, and much more so be sure and stay tuned....

Thanks for your visit!!

Update on my Hubby...over all pretty good news!

Over all we got good news today! We went to the doctor and found out Kevin has a neurofibroma. Definition: a tumor that is usually benign that consists of nerve fibers and connective tissues, caused by an abnormal proliferation of schwann cells.
The doctor is sure that it is a benign tumor that will not need to be removed at least for the time being. It is located towards the bottom part of the spine by the colon and bladder. The only reason they would need to remove it is if it is still growing and starts affecting other organs or leg movements. The doctor thinks he has had it since he was little and he believes it has stopped growing. It measures more than 4 inches! It's big! He says it does not have the characteristics of becoming malignant down the road but will keep a watch on it. He will go back in 6 months to have another MRI to check the growth. As long as it stays the same he is in good shape. All in all great news...I know it could have been much worse. We are praising God! Thank you again for all of your prayers!

Halloween...Christmas... and a Wonderful Giveaway!

Hey Guys! I hope you all had a fun Halloween! We sure did... Chase had some friends over and I took them trick-or-treating. There were tons of kids everywhere! We gave out 6 big bags of candy, wow! Chase is the one on the left dressed as a ninja. They had a blast! See my spooky eyes in the mums...lol.

I put the jack-o-lantern in the wreath for Halloween. I also attached a spider to the bottom. When there is movement he drops down and his eyes flash! hehehehe! The kids get a kick out of it, I've had it for a couple of years now.

Sassy was tired after trick-or-treating. She sat here the rest of the night and watched the kids come to the door.
She sure did get alot of compliments in that costume! This is her second year to be Snow White, we will have to come up with something different next year.

Lets move on to Christmas...here is a mesh/ribbon wreath I just finished. Some of you have said that you can't find the mesh. Our Hobby Lobby has it, but it's in a square package rather than on a roll and it's not as thick. Some local gift shops carry it around here. I just happen to luck into it at a closeout store. I was surprised because it is really popular right now. I would check your local florists, I bet they will be carrying it this year. I bought the ribbon and centerpiece at Hobby Lobby.

Now for a wonderful giveaway! Many of you probably know my friend Melissa from Melissa's Heart and Home. She is having a very generous giveaway...look at all of that great stuff!
You don't want to miss out on this one! Be sure and pay her a visit!!

Thank you all for stopping by!!
