Summertime Patios

Hey everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful start to your summer! It's warming up here in Arkansas, but the real heat will probably hit in July. I'm not ready for that! I wanted to share my patios with you before it gets too hot and all of my flowers shrivel up.

I have had the green conversation set for about three years. I bought new striped pillows and added the indoor outdoor rug I used to have in my kitchen. It worked well out here. I planted several kinds of flowers including begonias, petunias, and million bells. The ferns are doing well out here too.

Here is my baker's rack all dressed up for spring and summer.

I planted my own hanging baskets this year and they are just now starting to take off.

Love the butterfly pillow I found at T.J. Maxx.

This is the fire pit patio looking from the covered patio. We love to grill out here!

I used the same striped pillows along with some green pillows to bring the same colors to the fire pit patio.

I love all of my flowers! I'm so happy hubby lets me plant them out here on his (supposed to be) manly patio! Ha!

Sugar likes it out here too. He loves playing hide and seek around the shrubs.

Have a great summer! I'll be back to share more pictures soon. Sorry I was gone so long! For more regular posts you can follow me on Facebook.

Spring Is In The Air!

Spring is in the air here in Arkansas! I have been in the mood to freshen things up around here. I'm adding flowers, butterflies, nests, and birds throughout the living room, dining room and kitchen. I'm loving the bright and cheery colors!

I found the birhouses and cage in in Dallas and dressed the cage up with a butterfly swag. I also added a bird and nest inside.

I found the green grass balls here in town at a local gift shop. I thought they were unique.

This is a vignette in my entryway with rabbits, birds, eggs and an arrangment I made in acrylic water.

I made this arrangement on my dining room table and added the butterfly lanterns on each side.  I am really loving baskets and the texture they add!

Of course I had to make a colorful wreath for my front door! You can definitely see this from the road and maybe even from space! lol...
The wreath has all of the colors of this pretty flag. I am also going to plant flowers in these bright colors. You sure won't miss my house when you drive by!

I sure hope it's warming up in your neck of the woods! Happy spring!!

Spring Mantel 2013

Hello Everyone!
Are you ready for spring? I know I am. I have been adding spring around the house for the past few weeks and just finished the mantel...

I was not sure what I wanted to do on the mantle this spring. While I was in Dallas last week I came across the flower/butterfly pictures and bought them because they were such a great price.  I was not sure where I was going to put them but they ended up looking best here on the mantel and really brightened it up.

I found the basket candle holders at Hobby Lobby. They are actually made out of resin and are made to look like a basket. I like the texture they add to the mantel.
Since I have a plug right at the base of the pictures I had to find a way to cover it. I ended up making a simple arrangement with birds, greenery and nests.
I also made the arrangements on each side of the pictures. I love the tulips!

I  found the blue vases and gold scroll over the pictures at Hobby Lobby too. I ended up adding some paint to them to bring out the designs.

More spring pictures to come soon! Have a great week!

Pinterest Inspired Easter Candy And Tulip Arrangement

Easter is in less that a week! I wanted to share a Pinterest inspired arrangement I made the other day using jelly beans, edible grass, bunny peeps, flower suckers and tulips. Everything including the vase can be purchased at Wal-mart. There is also a vase inside the vase that is holding the tulips...it came from Wal-mart too.

I love jelly beans, peeps and tulips so it's no wonder it caught my eye on Pinterest. The only thing I added to make it different was the candy suckers.
I also added a bowl lined in peeps that holds jelly beans. Boy are they going fast! I can't keep my hands out of them! lol...
I was going to do a step by step tutorial but got so excited and in a hurry that I forgot to take more pics! Sorry about that! You can get the idea though...I added a small vase with water in the middle of the large vase and layered the jelly beans, edible grass, peeps and flower suckers. Last, I added the tulips. This could also be done with silk flowers.

It is very simple to make and everything can be bought at Wal-mart! It would make an adorable centerpiece for your guests at Easter.

Hippity Hoppity Easter's On It's Way!

On to the next Holiday...Easter! It's only 47 days away! I know that seems like a long time, but it will be here before we know it. I always look forward to Easter because I know that spring is just around the corner. I can't wait for warm weather! I'm ready for everything to turn green again!

Those of you who follow me on Facebook have probably seen the Easter and spring arrangements I have been creating. I'm really trying to stay ahead of the game and get things out earlier than normal and am just getting started!  I have created different lantern swags for the seasons and the Easter bunny one turned out really cute. I searched for hours for just the right little bunny!

I am also making lots of cute arrangements with bunnies in them. I try to add something unique to all of my creations to make them special!

I love the colors and butterfly in this spring lantern swag.  The pink gerbera daisies really set it off!

I'm also dressing up birdhouses with flowers and ribbon!
This bunny door arrangement would be a wonderful way to greet your guests!

Here is another spring lantern swag with red gerbera daisies...so bright and pretty!
 Oh how I love bunnies!

I have been extremely busy making new items and doing custom orders.  I never thought I would be this busy...lol. I guess I can thank Pinterest and Facebook for that! They have done wonders for my business.  I love creating new things and am doing the best I can to keep up with everything but it sure would be nice to have more hands!

If you would like to purchase something you can follow me on Facebook to see the times I will be posting my items for sale in my Etsy store.

Maybe I will have some spring decorating pics of my house soon. I really haven't done anything new since Christmas! lol...We are planning on getting new carpet  and redoing our bedroom in a few months. I am also looking for a new dining set for my kitchen. I am ready for some changes around here!

P.S. I have moderated my comments due to so much spam! Now only YOUR comments will show up...not the spammers.
