My Ginderbread Kitchen and a Frame Giveaway!

Hey Guys! I thought I had better show you my kitchen before Christmas is over! lol...Time is just flying by! Here is my little gingerbread tree... I almost didn't put it up since I was so late decorating, but then I remembered it was already decorated! I just had to fluff it out and add some candy canes. Need to straighten that bow...

I've been wanting to show you this little gingerbread terrarium (that's what I call it). I've seen this done with all kinds of stuff and a local shop in town used snowmen, it was really cute. I had to make one so I thought it would be cute to use a gingerbread house and gingerbread men. I bought the candy canes and gumdrops because I was hungry, but decided to use them inside the jar! lol...My initial idea was just a house and some little gingerbread men, then it just grew from there. I bought the tall gingerbread man at Kohl's last year...it's a candle holder.
I bought the Fitz and Floyd train several years ago...it's missing a few cars.
I used glitter and sand for the snow, but my mom asked if it was sugar...duh? Sugar would work and it would have been cheaper!

The house is actually a stocking holder and the gingerbread men are ornaments, I just pulled out the hangers.

The little candy dish came from Cracker Barrel last year. Mom and dad picked it up for me.

I was a little lazy this year...I didn't unwrap all those peppermints! Some of you might remember this from last year.

Here is my kitchen table. I had the place mats and centerpiece from last year, but added the plates and cups this year...they are from Wal-mart. They had some really cute stuff!

See my little candy salt and pepper shakers? Wal-Mart.
I made the gingerbread arrangement last year and found those cute glittered trees this year at Hancock's. I just love them!
Chase and I made the gingerbread house the other night. Or should I say I made it! lol...I kind of took over. Do you know what he said? "You just want to post it on your blog!" hehehe! I think he was more interested in the xbox anyway. I told him we would decorate cookies however he wants to next week. Oh...the candle is from Bath and Bodyworks and it is WONDERFUL! It makes my whole kitchen smell like cookies! They have them two for $20 right now in several different scents...I bought creamy nutmeg.
I picked up this little towel at Kohl's the other night. I thought it was so cute!
Now for the giveaway...I was going to give away something Christmas, but decided it was getting to close so I decided on a frame with the leopard print ribbon. This look has been the most popular. As you can see it has four different ribbons that resemble fabrics. They all coordinate well together and will go with most decor. If you would like to enter the drawing just leave me a comment and I will put your name in the hat! I will draw the winner on Sunday night, so be sure and stop back by to see if you won. I would love to ship it out on Monday so you will have it before Christmas.

Thanks for your visit! Merry Christmas!!!

I think the gingerbread items are so cute, and I don't think I have anything with gingerbread men. I'll have to fix that at the after Christmas sales! I think that is cute for a kitchen. Your house turned out really nice and I guess your son was right ~ it is on your blog! I also heard about using Epsom salts to act as snow. Love the frame you've got for the giveaway!

I'm a 42yr. old mother of 1. I've been married for 21years to a wonderful man, Kevin. We have one son together named Chase who is 14. We live in a small town in Arkansas and have a dog named Sassy, a cat named Coco and now a chinchilla, Tiki. My husband is a Database Administrator and I have my own business called Kristen's Creations where I make and sell a variety of crafts. I worked in a shop as a floral designer for 15 yrs. until it closed. My former boss decided to retire and lease out her building. I enjoy crafting, decorating, and hanging out with my family.
