Hi! I know it’s been a few years since I posted anything. I just basically stick to Facebook these days! Anyway, we have moved into a new house and remodeled and I have my first grandchild!!🥰 Life has changed so much over the last few years. I no longer sell items on Etsy, but might return someday. I kept busy for the last year remodeling our new house. It needed a lot of work but is mostly done except for upstairs bathrooms. We definitely love our new house and are so glad we took the chance and made the move! I will share pics on here soon! I’m almost done decorating for Christmas!
I know most of you are more interested in decorating, but for those interested in good deals on makeup and skincare this app might be for you! It’s called Whatnot! I found it through a friend of my husband who buys shoes on it! It’s live auctions that people/companies run all day and night. You sign up and add the things you are interested in and the auctions with your interests will be in your feed. At first you might think it’s crazy!! I did! Ha! Some people are in warehouses, some in their homes, and some are in more professional environments. All kinds of people selling stuff!! Once I found the makeup and skincare auctions I was hooked! I have bought some great items at great prices as low as $2.00 for a $30-$40 retail item! From what I have researched, the sellers buy huge pallets of closeouts and liquidations also discontinued items and some are wholesalers. Some items are also store testers that are new, but maybe not in its normal packaging. There is name brand makeup and skincare such as Dior, Chanel, Este Lauder, Clinique, Tarte, Charlotte Tilsbury Lancolm, Beauty Bio and so many more. I have also bought shampoo and conditioners such as Nioxin and Fakkai. After finding this app it will be hard for me to pay full price at Ulta and Sephora ever again!! I will only buy the things I can’t find on Whatnot! I’m going to share some of my finds below. I also have some tips and names of some of the sellers I have bought from. Some of my tips for navigating Whatnot:
1: Pay attention to the size of the product. Make sure it’s worth it for the price. Some of the products are not full size so watch out for that. The sellers do tell you the size, but sometimes it looks bigger on screen.
2: Order several things from the same seller and your shipping will be bundled. You don’t want to pay $4.50 for shipping on a $2 item. Usually the max shipping is $9.21 no matter how many items you buy. The shipping price will not roll over from show to show so keep that in mind.
3: When you’re swiping/bidding sometimes the price will jump up really fast so watch out for that especially if it’s a popular item. The bidding time is quick! Usually 5-10 seconds! However, the sellers usually list many of the same item so you will have several chances to win.
4: Visit several shows before you bid that way you can see how much the items you are interested in are going for. The shows with the least amount of people is where you can find the best deals! However, the bigger shows usually have more of a variety of products.
5: Bid responsibility! Once you win the bid it’s yours!
