I've been Tagged!! Also... pictures of my Peppermint and Gingerbread Kitchen!

First for the tag.....

4 of you guys got me!
These ladies are all very talented, go pay them a visit!

~~ 6 Random Things About Myself.~~
Here are the rules.
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6)
3. Write 6 random things about yourself.
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person know they been tagged and leave them a comment.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
~~~~~~Here are my 6 random things: ~~~~~~
1.I hate getting up in the mornings. I barely get Chase to school on time (and sometimes I don't) I have always been that way. My mom gets up at 5:oo a.m. every morning, I think she's crazy! If you guys get up that early, you are too. LOL!! (just kidding) ;)
2. I love turtles! Yes turtles. As soon as it gets warm enough in the spring, Chase and I go down to the pond and hunt for them. This spring I caught one. I had to wait very patiently, but I got him. The pet store owner knows how much I like turtles and gave one to me , his name is Dan. The other one is Little Guy,we still have both of them, they are in tanks in Chase's room. Don't get me wrong, I love Sassy and Coco too!
3. I hate finding something to wear in the mornings. My closet is full of cheap clothes that I hate.
4. I was a really bad teen. I used to sneak out at night, the window was to difficult, so I would just go out the front door! I eventually did get caught, and the fun was over.
5. I was married at 19, I'm now 35. We will celebrate our 16 year anniversary this summer. My mom prayed for someone to come and calm me down. I don't think she thought I would get married so young though. It was true love!
6. I can play the piano. I took for 7 years, but just recently started playing again. I'm no Mozart, most of my music is labeled EASY. Chase has been taking lessons for 4 years, he's 9. He has a recital on Monday.(still needs a little practice)
Wow! I really had to think on those!
The 6 ladies I pass this on to are.......
Now for some kitchen pictures.......
This is easy to make, but you will need to unwrap lots of peppermints!
See, I told you!
I made the arrangement and got the gingerbread candle holder at Khol's.
The plate came from Dillard's
I made the frame.
The gingerbread girl in the teacup is my favorite ornament!
I hope you enjoyed this post. You definitely learned a little bit about me and maybe you got a few ideas. Thanks for stopping by!!
Your kitchen is sooo cute Kristen! Love it!I haven't decorated nearly enough-don't know if I will get around to it this year either-although I want to.
I have to tell you I too was a terrible teen(hey it was the 70's ok!) but now I am such a conservative girl-well pretty much anyway! LOL!I used to sneak out all the time too! Shame on us naughty girls! And I have been with my husband since I was 19, but I am a bit older then you. My husband and I just celebrated 25 years of married life this past Aug! I also absolutely hate getting up early!!! I have never been a morning person.I haven't met many people like us though. It was fun to learn more about you and interesting that we have things in common! Glad to hear you had fun with the tag!
Hope your week is wonderful!
Nice! I wouldnt have the patience to unwrap all those candies--reminds me of making homemade caramel apples and peeling all those caramels!
I'm into gingerbread this year also-I dont know why. I have a gingerbread man sitting for 3 days right now to see if it worked. If it did-I will decorate him and place him in my window--if it didnt work-i'm on the lookout for another dough!
Michelle, All Home and Love said...
Very cute! I think I might have to steal your idea. I just took tiny pumpkins out of my candle vase and had no idea what to put in it for the holiday season. Those peppermints look very festive that way. Great idea!
Patricia said...
I did this them too this year...not on the same stunningly gorgeous scale as you but I did take all of my cookie cutter and hang them by ribbons and all gingerbread and striped accessories with candy ornaments and hang them all around
Thanks foe the inspiration I am going to tweak a few things now
Your blog is awesome!
That's adorable!! I've been so busy I haven't even gotten my home decorating completed yet. Hope to this weekend. We normally deck out the outside with lots of white icicle lights & moving reindeer but I don't know if we will even have time to do it this yr. We have so many custom rugs to get done and people wanting them in time for christmas. Ok I better stop writing and get busy!! TTYL
Kristen, as always, this is just too cute. I would expect nothing less from you. Love the peppermints in the candle holder. So creative. I also enjoyed learning new things about you. I hate picking out something to wear, but I also hate clothes shopping. My clothes all look alike. Browns, blacks, navys. I feel like I'm wearing the same thing all of the time! laurie
Kristen,
Your tree is so pretty and I love your peppermint idea.
I hate getting up in the mornings because I have fibromyalgia and my whole body is stiff in the mornings. Once I get going, I'm ok. Oh yeah, I was one of the ones that use to sneak out of my window at night. My cousin and I would sneak out and walk to town and go window shopping in all the downtown stores. One time we even went out in our flannel Christmas pj's. No one ever bothered us. I wouldn't do that now for nothing! That was back in the late 70's. We had a ball back then.
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Hi Kristen! Oh I am so not a morning person either! I get more creative the later the evening but being a Mom has definitely "curbed" my night owl ways. My husband is opposite - he sings in the morning and drives me nuts - the good side is that he is snoring while I am watching my recorded decorating shows! :)~ You were a "BAD TEEN"?! No way! ha-ha! I was too - but I think that will benefit us when it's our kids turn. We will know all the excuses! ~ Congratulations on your 16 years of married bliss! It's wonderful you found your Mr. Right so young!..~ Are turtles mean? I would be afraid to lose a finger! I like chocolate turtles - sorry "Dan & Little Guy" ~ Your kitchen looks so adorable! and I was laughing at that mound of wrappers! wow! Your entire house is just so beautifully festive and filled with Holiday Cheer! I'll be back soon. ~ Laurie
OK I'm so with you on getting up and clothes. I get up when my son gets up which thankfully is at least 8 a.m. I am ALREADY thinking of years from now when I'll have to get him off to school in the morning. Dreading it. And I HATE picking out my clothes in the morning. I spend my money on the house, not clothes. Now the teenage stuff, I was so opposite! Such a good girl! (For the most part!) The kitchen is SO fun! I'm trying to make mine more fun now too, it's my spot for peppermints and Santa's now too.
