Christmas In The Dining Room

Merry Christmas eve! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I'm a little excited at the possibility of a white Christmas tomorrow! We are under a winter storm warning and are expected to get some snow starting around noon tomorrow. I hope there is no travel issues though. We are having my family over and I want them to arrive safe. Anyway, I just had to share my excitement!

Here is my dining room all decked out for Christmas. I guess my theme this year is Christmas trees and balls. As you can see...I still need to wrap presents!

The centerpiece was actually a premade arrangement that I dressed up. I changed the container  and added more balls to give it height. I also added red sparkly ribbon to the edges of my table runner to give the table a little more sparkle. I like the trees on the table this year for a little something different.

I made this garland a few years ago and it still looks pretty good.

Love my Christopher Radko plates! They really stand out in the cream cabinet.

My tree is full to the max with ornaments, mesh and ribbon.

This is in my entryway. I found the tree candle holder at Michael's and added garland and presents around the base.

Here is the living room all decked out! Both of my cats are enjoying it...lol.
 Merry Christmas!!

Christmas In The Kitchen

Only a few more days until Christmas!  Is everyone ready? I think I finally have my shopping done. I've been out at the mall three days in a row! lol...Nothing like last minute shopping and fighting the crowds. It really puts me in the Christmas spirit!

Before it's all over I want to show you my Christmas kitchen. I will be showing the dining room on Christmas eve if you would like to come back. Anyway, I have been decorating the kitchen in the gingerbread/candy cane theme for several years and still love it. Candy just makes me happy!!

This vignette is on my island. I found the Santa at Pier 1 Imports this year. I set him in the middle of a decorated wreath with a gingerbread house and added some fun candle holders.

Here is my kitchen table decorated in the gingerbread theme...

My gingerbread tree...I decorated the top with candy canes and shiny red curly sticks.

I love my cute gingerbread plate!
Here is an arrangement I made...please excuse the glitter/dust on the counter top...oops!

More cute gingerbread accessories...my friend gave me the cookbook several years ago and it has some great recipes in it.

Here is my gingerbread terrarium made from sugar and real candy. The gingerbread men are ornaments.

This gingerbread tassel hangs on my kitchen island.

I decorated the tops of light fixtures with ribbon, large Christmas picks, and glittery curly sticks.

I hope you enjoyed the tour!!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Mantle 2012

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe Christmas is in less than a week? I sure can't. It has snuck up on me more than ever this year. I know some of you have been wondering what happened to me and I do apologize for being MIA here on my blog. The biggest reason I have not been around is because my business exploded! Pinterest and Facebook had alot to do with it. At times I had more business than I could  handle...but I did! lol...Thank goodness my mom and dad came over and helped me pack and ship my items or I don't know if I could have done it all. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond thrilled to have the business. I just know what I need to change for next year. I also decorate houses as alot of you know. Between the houses and business I had a lot going on. I hated not to keep my blog up, but every day was so busy I just could not seem to get a blog post together.  Things have slowed down for now so I will catch you up on pictures of my house. I still don't have my tree up and here it is Dec. 19! Oh My! I plan on putting it up tonight.

Here is my Christmas mantle. I left the mirror and lanterns I had up here for the fall. I used my garland from last year, made a wreath, and added lantern toppers with my Mark Roberts fairies.

I made the wreath out of all different colors and sizes of balls by gluing them onto the wreath. I added the lights after the wreath was done.

I love my little Mark Roberts fairies! They look so cute on top of the lanterns.

Here is a shot at dusk...This is definitely the focal point in my living room.

I will post the kitchen and dining room very soon. Have a great night!
