Our Trip to Dallas! Medieval Times...Market...and My Friend's Beautiful Home

Hi Guys! I've been trying to get this post up now for a while. You guys are keeping me busy making pumkin arrangements and frames!! Thanks!
Some of you have heard about my health problems...I just wanted to say that I'm fine. I have an irregular heartbeat and am now on medication for it. It has been going on for a while now. My bloodwork showed my liver enzymes were a little high, so I will have more bloodwork done soon. Ibuprofen can cause that too... I'm not worried. Say a little prayer for my hubby...he will be having surgery for a reoccuring problem next week. Everything hits at once doesn't it?!

Now for my trip...we had a blast! We stayed with my friend and former boss, Sherry. Her daughter lives in Dallas and recently had twins, so she and her husband Gerald bought a house down the street to help babysit. She also has a beautiful home here too, I'll have to take pictures of it sometime. We went to Medieval Times, it's a really neat place. Chase loved it! Sherry and I went to market while Kevin and Chase went to the Dallas World Aquarium. They said it was awesome! We also ate at my favorite place...The Saltgrass...Mmmmmm.

Here is Medieval Times...and yes it rained almost the whole time, but we still had fun.
They put on a really neat show and the food is great! It keeps you entertained.

Chase had so much fun.

This is a showroom at Market we used to order from alot. Looks like whimsical is really in! See the lighted presents...they are really popular! I just love this fun look!

I took more pictures of trees, but I will save them for later. This one was one of my favorites!

Now for Sherry's house...She is a great decorator! My aunt Pat and her are the best I know! She really did alot to this house...all new paint, carpet etc.

I've posted this room before, but I think she's finally or almost finished with it! lol...It's always evolving. Isn't it beautiful?!!

I love this secretary!

Sherry loves to read blogs! She ordered the picture from Fifi's Flowers and the Tassel from The Tassel House.

She...like my aunt...is a master at decorating bookcases.

A frame I made. Those are the adorable twins!

This dining room is gorgeous!! I made the arrangement on the table.

I'm sure you dishaholics will love this china! It is beautiful, not to mention the napkins and placemats.

This is in the family room, or her hubby's room! He has a great spot! He picked out the leather sofa and chair in this room... there is a pic of it on down. He also has great taste! I love that hanging leather tapestry!

Gerald's spot. This reclines, Kevin was so jealous!!

More wonderfully decorated bookcases.

Thanks for stopping by!! I will be posting more things for sale soon! Have a great weekend!!!

I just love your new header. It's beautiful! We are getting ready to paint our den and I love the yellow in yours. Good you tell me the name of it and where you purchased it? Thanks.

I'm glad you had a nice time Kristen! I have always heard going to a Medievel Times is fun!

Sherry's home is so beautiful! Love all the soft creams and blues. It has so many pretty decorator touches throughout.
Her dining room furniture is really elegant too.

Are you getting used to the new meds? I finally am as of today. They're helping my blood pressure so much I can't believe it. I've also switched to incredibly healthy eating habits as well so it's probably a combo of both. I hope you are doing well and Kevin too.

~Blessings my friend, ~Melissa :)

PS That's a pretty new pic of you!

I'll keep you and your husband in my prayers. Hang in there...I'm so sorry it has all hit you at once.
BTW...you're a great decorator too. Your house is gorgeous!!!

Kristen...I am so sorry to hear about your health problems...I hope everything works out the way you want it to...I will be praying for you and your husband. It seems as though everyone is struggling with some kind of issue...I wish we all could just be perfectly healthy...doesn't seem like to much to ask. Life would be so much easier.

I was so excited to see your friend's beautiful home...it is easy to see why you admire her so. Her home is gorgeous. Next time you visit you will have to bring me along;). I am always interested to see how people decorate their bookcases. I have so many in my house...I am always looking for new ideas.

Chase is as darling as ever...he looks like he enjoyed Midevil Times...what a great place for the kiddos. I will pray for better weather for your next visit. This rain is getting old.

Take care!!!
XOXO
Cathy

I agree with Melissa...your new picture is sooo pretty.

Kristen, another beautiful home you've shared with us. Before becoming your friend or relative, people must have to audition their homes! I'm afraid I wouldn't qualify, but maybe in cyber world, it's ok. Your son is so cute. I love your friend's livingroom, and I'm going back to take a second look. The mirrored piece behind her sofa is something I've been trying to fit into my budget forever! I hope I did the PayPal thingy right. Did you get a notification of it yet? I already have you in my prayers and will certainly be adding your husband. Everything really does seem to happen at once. laurie

Hi Kristen. We went to MT when my boys were younger. They loved it. I thought it was kind of gross to eat with no utensils but it's right up a boys alley. :)

Your friends home is gorgeous. You are right..she's a master decorator.

It rained in Dallas? And we got nothing here in Austin!! We so need the rain.
Glad you had a great time. Love what you did with the pillow Kristen, the ribbons and tassel really set it off.
Do you have the website for the Tassel House? I searched but it doesn't come up. I'm thinking a lovely big tassel on my new black dresser would be nice!
Hope the meds help with your heart, and I'll pray all goes well for your hubby's surgery. Yes, things do indeed all come at once, don't they!
Have a great Monday
