Hey guys! I told you I was going to post about random things....lol! Yes, hubby has a motorcycle that I didn't want him to get... some of you might have the same story. After trying my best for months to talk him out of it, he won. So....I've learned to live with it and I kind of like riding on the back (but don't tell him that)lol.. I still think motorcycles are dangerous, but we always wear our helmets, and he is always very careful, especially to watch out for others. I'm still hoping he'll tire of it soon and sell it. That said.....we took a little trip up to Ozark the other day to eat at the best bbq place ever! It was a nice ride through the countryside. Lots of cows to look at along the way! I know you wish I had taken lots of pictures of them ;)
If you're ever in Ozark, you have to eat here!! I don't know how they cook it, but the meat almost melts in your mouth!
We stopped at Bluff Hole on the way back, the water is a bluish green color and is really pretty,we might camp here sometime. I love to camp, but only for one night!
No, I'm not a biker chick, but an occasional ride is fun...

Interesting and different post for your blog Kristen!
Motorcycles scare me a little bit too.
I'm glad you had fun!
The restaurant does sounds really delicious.
Have a great week.

Wow that water is pretty! I'm scared of motorcycles too. Be safe!
Take Care

Oh Kristen...you are such a trooper!!! I have never understood the allure of motorcycles..but those crazy boys seem to love them!!! How nice of you to play along!!!
It looks like you guys had a great time and saw some beautiful scenery!!!
I love a good chopped beef BBQ sandwich...something I learned from one of those crazy boys!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!
XOXO
Cathy
Okay, my comment is probably going to be one of the few you get that say this but I LOVE our bike. I hope to get one of my own one day. I LOVE LOVE to go riding!! You will never believe this but on a really nice day we had back in March we met up with a group and rode our bikes down to Ozark and ate at the SAME restaurant!!!! I feel that one day our paths will cross :)!!!
I love motorcycles. What kind is it. I am dreaming of a pink Harley. Fun road trip. Can't wait for more pictures. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
I must admit I'm scared of motorcycles myself! But wow!...didn't expect this!
Sounds like a fun trip! My husband and our son used to ride motorcycles. It is a little scary, but if you can relax, it can be fun. Our son also rode dirt bikes and raced them! That was not fun! Several injuries and a concussion. Glad he finally outgrew that! These people who are riding w/o helmets are just crazy! laurie
Good morning Kristen .... my son began riding in his early 40's .. I was terrified and could barely hide my fear for him. Years later I know how much joy riding the open roads gives him. His wife is now his riding partner - with her own bike. Stay safe ....
It's great Kristen! :)
Alex's Dad has a white one he rides. It totally surprised when I found out my super duper quiet FIL had one.
I think everyone is just busy with the holiday and summer starting etc...
plus blogger has really been acting up. I had a post planned for last week and scraped it.
It's Flaunt Your RED time! Are you ready?
Stacey at "Poofing the Pillows" is hosting it this time since Nancy is on vacation.
See you later today with my new post. I re-did my niche!
Hey Girlfriend...
Ohhh my...I'm playing catch up! I seen your comment over at Melissa's and thought that it had been waaayy to long since I've chatted with you! I hope that my note finds you and your family doing well!!!
Girl, you ARE a biker chick if you're ridin' on a motorcycle! Hehe!!! Too cute!!! I sure could identify with you...Russell used to ride a motorcycle for several years (that was before me). He has talked several times about getting one again...and so far I have been able to talk him out of it! Hehe!!! I'm sure it is lots of fun...and like you said, the key to being safe is watching out for the other drivers! I just love that barbeque place that you went to...the store front is so charming!!!
Okay...I've had to catch up on a couple of your posts since I've been here last. A big congratulations to Chase for a super performance at his recital!!! I know that you must be a really proud (motorcycle mama...hehe!) mama!!! I listened to his video...he did such a great job! How long has he been playing? Give him a big ol' pat on the back for me...okay!
Also got to see your beautiful patio project after you and your honey finished it! It turned out soooo nice, my friend!!! What a lovely spot to relax and enjoy a fire!!! It's funny how these little projects take way much more time than originally thought, eh? It's fabulous though!!! Thanks for sharing it with us...I loved seeing the before, during, and after photos!!!
Have a terrific Thursday, my friend!
Love ya,
Chari
Okay Blogger is officially getting on my nerves...:(
They did this to me on my last post as well.
My new postings don't show up!!! How annoying.
I do have a new one if you have time to come by and see it.
I can relate to the motorcycle thing... I was adamant for many years - no motorcycles! Well, he ordered one, had to wait 9 months for it & waited until it was delivered to drop the bomb on me! He now has 2 of them. Nope, I won't ride on the back of them. He's on his own...
Great pictures Kristen! ☺ Diane
It looks like a great place to visit. I will do it by car, though.lol Looks like you had great weather for your ride. I bet Chase is thrilled with the new addition.
Well you are being a good "sport" about the motorcycle and I guess as long as he is careful...doesn't drive too fast...watches out for others..wears helmets...whew...he might just have enough and decide to sell it.
My eldest son had one last year. He was also very careful of it but then he did get tired of it and was able to sell it quickly to a friend. I was rather happy about that.
It sounds like you had dinner at a really yummy place. Nice to be able to do that and have a nice drive too.
have a lovely day
Judi
