Fall Inspiration

I hope you all have had a wonderful summer! I can't believe it's almost over.
The seasons pass so fast when you are in the seasonal floral business! I have been working on fall arrangements and door pieces for the last several weeks so I thought I would share some here on my blog. It won't be long before we are putting out our fall decorations and I'm ready! My house has been basically the same since spring and it's time for some changes!

Remember, I spend most of my time on Facebook these days and post when I will be listing items for sale. You can find me under Kristen's Creations

New Flooring on the Patio

Happy Spring!

I'm so glad to finally have warm temps again. Spring always puts me in the mood for projects! I have been wanting to do something with my ugly painted and chipped concrete patio for several years. I really didn't know what I wanted so I set out on a mission and finally settled on this wood look tile. It went right over the concrete just as you would install inside. I don't have a clue how to tile so I hired someone to do this. This tile is porcelain and was recommended for outdoor use. It is thick and has ridges/texture so it will not be slick and is frost resistant. The brand is Florim USA and the color is Santa Monica if you are interested. I bought it locally at a place called Acme Brick. This tile would be great inside too in any room. I am loving it!

As always, the patio is very colorful with flowers, pillows, and cushions. It feels like a little room out here now with the new floor!

I have included a few before pics at the bottom so you can see what it looked like before.

I love cloches! They are so much fun to decorate with. I used three different sizes on my entryway table filled with nests to create this little vignette. Oh how I love spring! I will share more spring decorating pictures with you soon!

Spring Creations

Well Hello! I wanted to share some of my spring creations with you! As most of you know I have been very active on Facebook. I share house pics and items I am selling on Etsy throughout the week. Here is the link to my Facebook page if you would like to follow me there.

Spring is in the air and I'm ready! I am creating a lot of beautiful silk arrangements and lantern swags in bright spring colors. Some of my favorite flowers are poppies, tulips, and ranuculus. I use a lot of those flowers in my arrangements. I have had so much fun over the years creating beautiful items for my wonderful customers! Thank you so much for your business! Here is the link to my Etsy store.

I will be sharing my spring decorating and yard very soon!

Whimsical Snowman Mantel 2015

It's that time of the year again! I have been decorating for days and I'm finally done! I decided to go with a whimsical icy snowman theme this year on my mantel. I have always had a thing for snowmen and have used them in my Christmas decor over the years. I found the snowmen at Kirkland's this year and designed the garland and wreath around them.

I will be sharing more pictures of my house soon!

Enjoy!

Fall Around the House

I hope you all are enjoying fall! It will be Thanksgiving before we know it...two more weeks!

I shared my fall mantel several weeks ago and wanted to share the rest of my fall decor with you. If you follow me on Facebook then you have seen most of these pictures, but I added a few new ones. I love the colors of fall and can't wait to decorate from year to year. Fall colors just make me happy!

Enjoy the pictures!

I will be decorating for Christmas soon and will be sure to share...

Fall Mantel 2015

Well, it's been a while! You know you can always find me on Facebook!
Are you ready for fall? I sure am. I love the rich colors of fall along with the nice weather!
I made the wreath using pumpkins, sunflowers, berries and foliage. I added a berry garland and poked in some moss balls and pumpkins. I used the bird pictures on my previous mantel, but decided to leave them once I hung the wreath. They just looked like they were meant to be!  I needed something tall on each side and since I have done lanterns for the past two years I was on a mission to find something different! I found the wheat at Pier 1 Imports and dressed them up with ribbon and pumpkins. I also had the moss balls in the metal urns on my previous mantel. I liked the way they looked, but they needed some color so I added some fall leaves around the bottom. I'm still working on the rest of the house and will post pics next week.
