~~Porch and Patio Party~~

Hi Guys! Welcome to Barb's porch and patio party! Please pay her a visit to see her beautiful porch and a list of other participants at http://www.gritsglamour.blogspot.com/ . I had hoped to show you some better pics of my covered patio and the new patio. However, it is raining AGAIN and the new patio is just smothered in mud! I will be sure and post it within the next week. I wish I had better pics of the covered patio. This was all I could get without my camera getting wet. (should have taken the pics earlier) I'll post more of it along with the new patio later on. Anyways, you can get an idea of what I've been doing...alot of planting. I also found new cushions and painted the furniture sage green. It was a dark hunter green before. I'll post the before pic next week.

This bakers rack is full of color!

Begonias and merigolds...

Butterflies and birdhouses...
Chase painted the little flower pot on the right for me a few years ago.

I picked up this little butterfly at Lowe's the other day.

I don't remember what these bright green plants are, but I love them!

I believe this is called lobella.

I call these mini petunias, I don't know the correct name. They come in such beautiful colors. I love this vibrant redish orange!

Thanks for stopping by! Please come back next week, I also want to show you my front yard as soon as the rain stops and we can mow! It's been raining and cloudy for the last week, I'm ready for some sun!!!!! I'm off to check out all the pretty porches and patios in blogland!

The bakers rack looks gorgeous with all the pretty flowers and birdhouse and accessories. Love the sage green on the furniture. I look forward to seeing all of it. The rain is always a bummer when it lasts forever. Hugs, Marty

Kristen,
Don't you hate it when it rains on your parade;)!!! Your coverd patio is beautiful!!! I love how the furniture turned out. The sage green is such a lovely color...perfect for a patio!!! The flowers are so colorful and springy...absolutely lovely!!! I love how you staged your bakers rack...perfect!!! I think the bright green plant is called creeping fig. I have some in a few of my pots and it does really well...even in the heat!!! I am so sorry about the rain. I was really looking forward to seeing your latest creation. Can't wait for the unveiling!!!

Have a wonderful week!!!
XOXO

Kristen - rain or not, I think its just gorgous. I especially love the baker's rack full of pots and whimsical statuary. Just to let you know, I have decided to make this a monthly event. I think seeing everyone's porches/patios progress through the seasons would be wonderful.
Thanks so much for joining today.

Hugs, Barb

Kristen, Your porch is very pretty. I love the Million bell petunis's, too. I planted lots of them this week. I planted lots of everything this week. The last three days have been in the high
60's. Yippee.. I was trying to get ready for the porch party. But, we got rain today. I'll be posting mine later, too! Oh, well!! It's early for those of us that aren't in the south. But, I sure love looking at the southern porches and gardens. You do have a lot of color. Isn't it wonderful!

Oh how pretty! I just love all the vibrant colors you have used on the rack.

You're right...we do think alike. The new cushions you bought for your outdoor table are the same ones I have the uncovered part of our deck. LOL!

I can't wait to see the new firepit!

Have a great evening.

Very pretty, Kristen. You just can't seem to get away from the rain in Arkansas. All of my family is there (well, except for two of my sons). I grew up in Camden, and my husband is from Newport.

I think the green trailing stuff may be Creeping Jenny. I have some planted as a ground cover.

I've only been back in town for 48 hrs. and we have been planting and getting ready for out of town company tomorrow. I love all the colors and blooming of the plants. Your porch looks fresh and so inviting. A great place to sit and have a glass of ice tea and visit with family and friends.

Rain? I see nothing but beauty. OK, now I want a baker's rack and one of those metal scroll pot holders. Kristen, I could not be more serious! Your patio with flowers is just breath taking. I love the color of those purple (?) petunias. They are stunning. Are they purple? They almost look blue.

Hi Kristen! :)
I was going to leave you a comment and see how you were doing. I'm happy you came by. I'm glad all is well and you've just been busy.

Thanks for your kind words on my new drapes. It's amazing how different they make the space seem in person.
It's really hard to capture things on camera sometimes isn't it.

I'll check out your patio for sure.
Have a good one.

Hello!

Just introduce myself: I am a man (says my wife), I am 50 years old (hmm, that looks bad isn't it?) and I am a terrible bad programmer (I say myself).
My hobbies: computer (of course), my 17 years old son and of course my wife. I like to play billiard, I do a very little bit and very simple programming in VB and I try to make a site for my billiard-club in the near future.

Keep smiling, Dennis from Online Payday Loans website!
