"Flaunt Your Red" a day late!

Hey guys! Welcome to "Flaunt Your Red" hosted
by nancy at http://southernlady-nancy.blogspot.com/ . What a great event! Today I wanted to show you a few pics of the "MAN'S" Room.....well, he shares it with me, lol! This is where I do my blogging. Here is our new sofa we ordered from Ashley Furniture a few months ago. We had our old sofa for more than 10 yrs. and it was looking and smelling a little bad! So, with some of my christmas decorating money we decided it was time to get a new one. I didn't like the pillows that it came with and had these on my old sofa. They add alot of color when they're not thrown on the floor. I had the curtains already and knew they would look fine with the new sofa. The red in here is more of a cinnamon color.

Here is where I do my blogging. The chair, orchids, and decorative balls all have the cinamon color in them. The bowl to the left was handmade in Hawaii to resemble a volcano, it looks a little like an ashtray.

These pictures hang over the big screen T.V. I chose not to show you....lol

And my favorite drink! I got to have my DP! Oh, and the chairs have new red fabric on them too. I'll show you a better picture later.
Thanks for your visit! Have a great weekend!

Kristen - just lovely! I am going shopping for a new sofa soon, too. Yours is simply lovely. I love the plaid office chair. Did you recover it? I know what you mean about the big black hole, a.k.a. big screen TV. My DH has one too. ugh! Hope your weekend is going well. Hugs, Barb

Kristen, your new couch is very pretty, and it looks really comfy. Your pictures above the TV are so lovely, and I see your favorite drink is also one my favorites.

Hi Kristen,
Oh it all looks so pretty!
Your new sofa is really beautiful and looks great with the Red pillows. Love the Red balls in the neat bowl too.

Your desk area is so cute! What a warm and relaxing looking room to blog in and relax.
I love it!

We have a big bonus room over the garage but I doubt I will ever show pictures of it on the blog.
It's just so cold looking to me. It's painted a light Blue and had lots of Black workout stuff, TV, stereo and kitty condo.
I have tried and just not made it comfy looking. Maybe I should re-paint it a bold bright RED! LOL!
Just a thought...It might make me motivated to work out more huh?

Have a blessed Sunday.
~Melissa ;)

I really like your new sofa. I especially like how you put the ottomans in front of it instead of a coffee table.

I am envious of how neat your computer area is. I share mine with hubby and it is always piled with his junk.

What a beautiful room, Kristen. I've been deliberating on wall color for a while and your post helped me make up my mind. I have reds and golds in my room and wanted to go with a neutral tan on the walls. One of my top two picks is very similar to your wall color and I love it with the reds. Thanks for helping me decide.

Very pretty. What a comfy, beautiful place to sit and blog! And it's nice to know we're not the only ones who end up tossing the pillows all over the floor. I want to add some to our new couch and my husband said, why bother, they just get pushed to the side! They sure look pretty though.

Hi Kristen,
You are so sweet! I'm glad you liked my new and improved bonus room. I need to get my booty in there and start working out now. As you can see I have no excuses. Being married to a Marine you would think I would work out all the time. LOL! I'm too busy blogging instead.

Your new kitty sounds great and sooo sweet! I think she found YOU and wants to live with you guys. I do hope you keep her. Chestnut was a stray five years ago when I found him on Christmas Eve in our backyard.
(a different house that backed up to woods)
He was a two pound kitten and the cutest lil' thing I had ever seen. He's never been outside since and doesn't miss it one bit.
He's spoiled rotten.
I really think we will get another Shih-stzu very soon.
Good luck with her.
Let me know how it ends up.

Have a wonderful week.
~Melissa :)
