Welcome to Share Your Creations party #29! There were alot of great links last week. I love seeing what you are creating...

On with the features...

Maria Elena at Our Home Away From Home spruced up her front porch with some pretty pillows she made. The one in the middle is made out of drop cloth and stenciled with her address. What a great idea!

Alyssa at Everything Has a place created a beautiful spring tablescape using a birdcage and topiaries. Stunning!

Pinky at Designs By Pinky created a St. Patrick's Day tablescape using beautiful shades of green. Love it!

Visit Glass Slippers And All Sorts Of Stuff for the before and after pics of this shabby mail center. It's amazing what a little white paint can do...

For my creation I thought I would tease you a little...hehe. I made an Easter mesh wreath today and will be posting the tutorial on Friday. These are the supplies I used. I did a tutorial last year and it has been popular on Pintrest. I am doing it a little different this year and think it is a better way.

Here is a little snippet of how it turned out...

You will see the rest on Friday so be sure and come back for the tutorial!

Ok...so what did you create?

You can link any item you created, a room you have decorated, a vignette, a piece of furniture you have painted, a recipe...and the list goes on and on.

I would appreciate a link back to my blog so others can find the party.

Birds And Butterflies

Happy almost spring everyone!

We had the best weather today and tomorrow will be much of the same...high near 80 degrees! That just puts me in a good mood. I am ready to get the rest of my spring decorating done and then start outside. Everything is starting to green up and bloom. I love this time of the year! I'm just praying for no tornadoes...it was scary last year. Everyone is hoping for calmer weather this year.

My dining room table has been empty since I took down my Christmas decor! That is the longest I have ever left anything "undecorated" lol...I finally couldn't wait any longer so I went through my spring flowers and put something together in a metal container I found at T.J. Maxx. Instead of adding one candle holder on each side, I added three! I put candles on two of them and nests with birds on the others for something a little different. I also dressed up the candle holders with ribbon, vines and butterflies. I am looking for a new table runner, but might haven't found anything yet. I might have to find some material and use my trusty old glue gun! =0

Here is a closeup of the candle holders dressed up with ribbon, vines, butterflies and nests.

I also added some birds and butterflies in the arrangement.

Now I'm going to work on the kitchen. Hopefully I can put something together over the next few days. This nice weather is putting me in a decorating mood!

I made some new things for my Etsy store in case you are in a spring decorating mood too. Here are just a few I listed today...
This one is a miniature of the one on my dining room table.

SOLD

I listed several frames...

and some Easter items...

I hope you are all having nice weather like us! Enjoy your Tuesday!

On with the features...

Jan at Mason Newton stained walpaper with coffee to create a pretty mat for her bird print. Great thinking! It turned out great...

Candy at Picken and Paintin turned her broken chair into a shelf. She also gave it a pretty coat of blue paint...love it! Very Clever...

Check out Are We There Yet for the before and After on this laundry room...love that green paint!

For my creations I thought I would show you some spring items I recently listed in my Etsy store. This arrangement would make a great centerpiece!

Love the ribbon and butterfly on this frame. It would look so cute mixed in with spring decor.

Cute wooden bunny in this arrangement...perfect for Easter.

Now this says "Spring"! This arrangement is made in a pretty metal bird container and can be used inside or outside under a covered patio.

I want to give a big THANK YOU to all of my customers! You guys are keeping me busy...I really appreciate all of your business!!

Ok...so what did you create?

Share Your Creations Party #27

Welcome to Share Your Creations Party #27! I hope you will join in the fun!

Sherry at Sherry's Bee's Nest painted this $4.99 bargain stool with her homemade chalk paint and stenciled "Relax" on the front. It turned out great!

These night stands are such a pretty color. Visit Crafty In Canada to see the before and after.

What a fun and colorful birthday mesh wreath! Visit Dragonfly Designs to see more...

For my creation I thought I would show you this striped pillow I hot glued together. I know I'm crazy, but I didn't want to wait for one to be made and got impatient! I took took another pillow apart and used the monogrammed "B" and insert from it. I cut the striped fabric to go around it and carefully glued it together just as you would sew it and somehow it turned out ok. (just don't look too close) We might not want to have pillow fights with it though...it would definitely come apart! Ha! I love the stripes up against the floral pattern.

Ok...so what did you create? I know it's got to be something better than a hot glued pillow!

My Colorful Spring Mantle

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

I finally finished my mantle yesterday...can you believe it?

As you know I am doing some redecorating and adding in a little bit of that pretty blue color. It's not like I had enough color before huh? =0 While alot of people are neutralizing I am adding MORE color! Ha! Color just makes me happy. Anyway, it is a bit of a challenge adding in the blue. Of course one thing leads to another and there is more that is going to have to be changed than I thought. It's going to take a little more time to pull it all together.

I have had my mantle basically the same since I moved in this house. It's still kind of the same, but at least I finally moved the dogs! I used the same oil painting I've always had up there. I just can't seem to find anything else right now. I did add a little paint to it that you will see below. You can see by my pillows how it's starting to come together.

I found the vases at Hobby Lobby and doctored them up a bit with some paint to tone them down a little. I really like the color. I have had arrangements on this mantle since I moved in too. I just feel like I need the height and greenery and just keep changing them up. My mom knew I was adding in the blue and bought me this pretty bird picture at the Cracker Barrel. It inspired me to go with a bird theme for spring and summer.

It's very subtle, but I added a little more blue in the clouds and flowers.

I added grass, wheat, sticks and yellow flowers to the vases. I also dressed them up with ribbon and a blingy flower. I've had the yellow bird plates forever.

The rest of the living room, dining room and kitchen are still a work in progress...but at least I accomplished one thing!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

I am finishing up custom orders, but should have some new things in my Etsy store by tomorrow night.

Share Your Creations Party # 26

Welcome to Share Your Creations Party #26!

I hope you all are still out there...I have been a little crazy lately (nothing new =0) and just couldn't seem to get a post together since my last party. I also can't seem to get my house together! As you know I am doing a little redecorating. Well, all of a sudden I can't decide on anything! It takes time, money and effort to find just the right things. It will come together, I just have to be patient.

On with the features...

Maria Elena at Our Home Away From Home re purposed her old drapes and made a coverlet for her bed. What an awesome idea!

Martina at Northern Nesting added some wax covers and crystals to her chandelier. It turned out great and dressed it up just enough.

Here is another great recipe from A Pinch Of Joy. Honey banana bread...yum!

For my creations I thought I would show you some things I am listing in my Etsy store.
Get ready for spring with this bright and colorful bunny arrangement! It even has some of that pretty french script ribbon winded through it.

A tin watering can always says "Spring". Do you see the pretty butterflies?

This one is soft and airy with a nesting bird in the middle. It would blend with any spring decor.

I've already sold alot of the bunny arrangements, but have plenty more!

You can't see the container very well, but it has a butterfly on the front. This can be used at Easter and during the spring months.
