~~Give Thanks~~

Hey guys! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I have been looking around blog land at all of your inspiring fall decorating and thought I would show you what little I have done...lol. I have had this wreath for a few years now, but decided to spruce it up a bit. I added a "Give Thanks" pumpkin in the middle, some smaller pumpkins around the wreath and some of that wonderful mesh! I love that stuff! Hobby Lobby is carrying a little bit of it now. It sure makes everything look alot more full. I love the colors of fall...

I don't have much room to play with on my front porch. I added some scarecrows and pumpkins for a festive fall look. I know I need mums in those pots, but decided to just add the pansies with the existing flowers for now. It's been too hot for mums around here lately. I bought the scarecrow and pumpkins at a antique/junk mall and put them together in a clay pot.

He turned out pretty cute!

I bought this fall mat at Lowe's last night. It was just $11.99.

We celebrated my birthday tonight. It's actually tomorrow, but I'm leaving for Dallas so we celebrated early. I'm getting at the age where I don't want to tell my age...lol. Ok I'm 37... :0. I've gotta change it on my profile again!! Didn't I just do that? The title of my post is "Give Thanks" so I guess I shouldn't complain about my age...I should be thankful I'm alive. We went to Market Place with my parents and grandma. You get a free chocolate mess on your birthday for those of you who don't know that. It was sooooo good!! Poor hubby could only have a few bites, he's cutting his calories and starting to run. I'm very proud of him! For those of you who visit Cathy at Mille Fleur, it's her birthday tomorrow too...go over and wish her a happy one.
Can you believe I'm going back to Dallas tomorrow? I still need to buy some more items for a show I'm doing up in North West Arkansas in November. I will tell you more about it in the upcoming weeks. I will also be buying for my Etsy store. As you can see it is totally empty! Thank you for your purchases! I have been trying to restock, but with custom orders and working at the interior store, I didn't have the time. I need more hands!! I will restock when I get back from Dallas next week. If you have any requests just e-mail me and I would be happy to try and accommodate you. Have a wonderful weekend!

~~Tropical Master Bedroom~~

Hey guys! I hope you have all had a wonderful week! I've been very busy working at the interior store AND from home...whew! I'm enjoying being busy right now and I'm sure I won't slow down until after Christmas.

I thought I would join "Show us your life" hosted by Kelly at Kelly's Corner. I have been reading her blog ever since she had Harper. What a little doll! If you have never visited her you must! She is also from Arkansas. This week's theme is Master Bedrooms. I posted this room over a year ago so alot of you have probably not seen it. This room is decorated in a tropical theme with tropical flower bedding, parrot art, iron and rich dark woods. Let's take a little tour...trust me, it won't take long! Our room is VERY small.

Come in...

Ok...tours over! this is just about it! lol...

I still love the bedding. I fell in love with it when I saw it at market when we were building the house. I had to have it! It was a little bit of a splurge, so it will be a while until I make a change.

I bought the chandelier lamps at the interior store where I used to work. They are definitely my favorites! There is not alot of room on each side of the bed, so these little tables will have to do.
See the parrot art? I am facinated with parrots, I used to have one named Peppy. He was fun, but we had to get rid of him because he was a little moody and could probably bite a finger or two off!The armoire is from Lane Furniture and I bought the orchid art at Kirkland's in Florida.
I had the chair recovered in the green fabric to coordinate with the bedding and curtains.

I had these curtains made...I love the little ball fringe.

This is a picture of Kevin's mom, Diane. She died of cancer 3 years ago and we miss her very much. This picture hangs beside his side of the bed.

Thank you for checking out our tropical bedroom! Now if I could just move to the beach...

Keep checking my Etsy Store...I am listing new items daily. If you ordered something from me in the last few days you should be receiving it soon! Have a great weekend!!

I'm Back From Dallas And I Have Alot To Show You! Come And See...

Hey Guys! I'm back from Dallas! I've been back a few days, but came down with a bad cold and have not been up to par. I'm feeling better now though! I have lots to show you...including market, my friend's beautiful house and some cute watches I bought and will be selling here on my blog. Let's start with the biggest surprise...I met Teresa at Grammy Girlfriend and Grammy a Baby Changes Everything. She was so sweet and I was so happy to meet her in person! If you have never visited her blogs you must! What an amazing and talented lady she is!

We have been talking for several months and she has even bought some things from me AND she even helped me plan our Disney Vacation. She was such a big help! I knew she went to market all the time, but she had told me in a recent e-mail that she was going in Oct. I was not looking for her and was amazed and pleasantly surprised when she walked up to me in a showroom and said my name! I looked at her tag and couldn't believe it was her!! What a great surprise!! My friend Sherry and I even ran into her the next day too. We talked about decorating houses for Christmas...those of you who read her blog know how talented she is. It still boggles my mind to think about decorating 75 houses! Yes! 75! She is definitely organized and has lots of energy to be able to decorate all of those. Sherry and I have about 10 and that is enough for us! lol...

I have gone to market for more than 10 years and I'm always amazed how fabulous the showrooms are decorated. They are just amazing! I thought I would focus on Christmas this time and snapped several shots of trees and mantles. I am really loving the flocked trees! Be sure and click to enlarge these pictures...there is alot of detail.

The gingerbread themed trees are everywhere!

Lots of sparkle and glitz!

Love all the fun colors on this tree!

Wow! These trees are loaded...See the elves crossing the trees?

Love the candy canes coming out of the tree! This one is one of my favorites...

Ruff! Ruff! Isn't this the cutest?

I love the large gingerbread men on this tree!

Another favorite...

Very elegant!

Traditional and classy!

More Gingerbread...they are everywhere. Cute! Cute!

Very fun and colorful!

Sophisticated and elegant...

These two mantles gave me some ideas!

Now I want to show you some of Sherry's house. Those of you who read my blog know that I used to work for her and she now has a beautiful house in Dallas that I have shared with you before. She keeps adding beautiful things, so I had to update some of the pictures. I made her this arrangement a few months ago. She found the mirrored container and wanted something elegant for her dining room table.

I thought this was a neat idea! She put napkin rings in the jars for something different...love it!

There is one of my bird tassels hanging on the beautiful mirrored chest.

I love this shot of the room... Looks like a magazine

Now look at this bedroom! It is so elegant and glamorous! I love everything about this room including the mirrored furniture, monogrammed pillows and gorgeous lamps! This room has it all...

Wow! I love how the bed reflects in the mirrored armoire.

This is the bathroom off of the master bedroom. It is gorgeous too! Everything is done to perfection.

I love how this chandelier matches the one in the picture above the doorway. Attention to detail...

Sherry keeps her twin grand kids alot. They are adorable by the way!! They are a boy and girl...Lake and Allie. She decorated their room in blues and soft yellows. It is so cute! She hand painted the little nesting tables to match.

I just love her house! Sherry is an awesome decorator...as you can tell.

My aunt had one of these cute watches on the other day and it really caught my eye! She bought it here locally at a popular gift shop. As I was at market hitting the jewelry floor I noticed them. There were ladies buying them up like crazy so I had to grab some too. I knew I wanted one and thought some of you guys might like one too, for yourself or for gifts. They are made out of a jelly material, which is very comfortable. I thought I would try a few, but did not get alot. I have some small faced, like the one I'm wearing, and I have some big faced. If you would like one they are $16 plus $2.50 shipping.(cheaper with shipping than they are here in town) These watches come in tons of colors, if I get several requests then I might be able to pick more up in Oct. Just e-mail me if you are interested. Click to enlarge for a better view.

I haven't had a chance to fill my Etsy store yet, but will be working my tail off over the weekend to get some pumpkin arrangements, frames, and tassels made. I brought lots of things back from market and I'm really excited to get some things made and listed. I have some scarecrow tassels that I think some of you will love! Have a great weekend!!
