Pretty Zinnias

It's still HOT here in Arkansas and my little zinnia garden is thriving! I planted them from seeds around the first of July. I'm a little obsessed with them and am always going out to look at them during the day. I noticed something was eating the petals so I went out at midnight and caught some grasshoppers chomping away! I put a stop to that real fast! lol...I just love all of the colors! I will be planting more next year for sure.

 Pretty!

They sure do make a beautiful bouquet!

Thinking Fall

Are you thinking fall yet? I have been for a while now. I'm not decorating just yet, but I am starting to plan for it. I wanted to share some photos from last year. Some of them are of my house and others are items that I made and sold. Here is my fall mantle...I loved having the lanterns up there...they gave such a warm glow.

My dining room table...
I used a cage in the middle and layered peas, corn and pinecones in the vases with a candle in the middle.

My kitchen island...I layered beans, corn and peas and added silk flowers, berries and sticks down through the middle of the layers.

The sofa table...

Below are a few of the items I made and sold...

I hope you got some ideas for your fall decorating! I'm so ready for cooler weather!

Pinterest Inspired Table And Chairs

I have been wanting a new table and chairs in my kitchen for a while now. I wanted something a little different so when I saw this picture on Pinterest I was on a mission to find something similar. I loved the woven look of the chairs and pedestal and glass table.
I came pretty close! Luckily my friend deals in furniture and was able to find this for me. It really changed the look of the kitchen! Love the texture the chairs added. Still looking for the right rug...
Here is another view with my summer flower arrangement and bright place settings.

Just wanted to share! Have a great week!

New Fall Items

I will be listing several new fall items in my Etsy store tonight including these cute scarecrow tassels! I will be posting them as they go up for sale on my Facebook page around 8:00 central if you follow me there. I know it's early, but I've got to get a head start so I can start on Christmas! Gasp!

Have a great night!

Beach Themed Lantern Swag

Well Hello! I know it's been too long and I apologize. This summer is just flying by and I have been preoccupied with Facebook, orders, and other summer activities. I sure didn't mean to put my blog on the back burner! I am going to make a point to post at least once a week even if it's just one sentence and one picture! I will have a lot to show you in the upcoming months.

Those of you who follow me on Facebook might have seen this beach themed swag I shared last week. I think it was my most popular Facebook post ever! I am ordering materials to make more similar to it.

I used greenery that resembles plants and corals you might find in the ocean. There is even moss that resembles sponges around the fish.
There are starfish, shells, and large glass beads to resemble bubbles with a beautiful fish swimming among them. I used beautiful light aqua ribbon to resemble the ocean water along with an open weave ribbon that resembles rope or a net.

My customer was very pleased with it! She is giving it to her friend and now she wants one for herself. I will post on Facebook when my materials come in.  I'll be back soon! Have a great week!
