I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Are you in the Christmas spirit yet? I have been for a while now. I finally got my house pretty much decorated. I just have to hang the garland around the front door. I have run into a little problem and thought I would share a tip with you. If you are using the mesh in your garlands, wreaths, or trees, after Christmas be sure and store it well. If the mesh gets smashed, there is no way to fluff it out. My garland and front door wreath are really smashed, so I am going to have to figure something out. Darn! I am trying to keep from having to redo everything. I should have hung them up!
You might remember these lanterns I bought this fall for my back patio. It was funny because I was at pier 1 Imports and saw some gold ones they had dressed up for the holidays. I was thinking to myself that I sure wished I had some lanterns for my coffee table. Well duh! I did have some and they are red! lol...I was going to put candles in them and then I found the trees up in the attic. I had to work on the small one...it was a little tall for the small lantern. Nothing a hammer can't fix! I added a little ribbon and glittered curly qs to the top to tie in with the mantle. I guess this is the year of the tree...
I'll show you more of my Christmas decor soon! I also have a few more houses to work on this week so I will show you those too. Have a wonderful Sunday!

ReplyDeleteJust BEAUTIFUL my dear friend..May you have a Great day..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteLove the lanterns, Kristen!! I noticed that too last year that when you put it away it does need to be put up carefully. I hang all my wreaths up in the garage so I might just have to do the garland too. I need to find somewhere else that has Christmas mesh. Hobby lobby is OUT already. I just went a few days ago and got some gold and its gone already. BLAH I needed more. Guess I'm off to search on the internet for some.
ReplyDeleteKristen, these lanterns are gorgeous, with your magic touch! Love them on the coffee table! Everything looks just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThat is really cute....I should try a tree in my lantern...uh oh, here goes some more copying!!

ReplyDeleteThe lanterns work so well with the holiday decorations. I'm glad you remembered having them! ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are the perfect color for Christmas!
What is the name of the paint on your walls?
ReplyDeleteHi Kristen on the refluffing of the mesh wreath try taking cheap netting, not soft tulle, in the color of your mesh and fluff the net to fit in the mesh. Cut to size and see if that helps. Helen
ReplyDeletelove your ideas will try these
ReplyDeleteKristen, I was pinning things on my Christmas board and found this picture. I love, love, love it. I am working on an old 6 foot shelf to update it a little and I think it will be perfect for me to try and emulate this lovely mantle on. I am so inspired by your work. Love!!
