The last two days have been spent decorating this beautiful house. I'll tell ya...it's a biggie! lol... This is the third year I have decorated this house for Christmas. We add a little every year so this year my client wanted me to decorate the huge chandy! Luckily, she just has to flip a switch to lower it. Pretty awesome!
This house always makes me smile in spite of the 5 and a half hour tree! lol...I just love the fun and whimsical look. The big round ornaments and polka dot ribbon are so much fun!
It takes a really tall ladder...a little scary.
Here's a better look...I added some fun glittery curly sticks this year. They really added alot to the tree!
Love all the ornaments!
Here is another look at the chandy...it's big but was surprisingly easy to do. As you can see I made two layers of garland and attached it to the top and bottom. It is hard to find really pretty thick garland so sometimes I double it...in this case tripled it! There are actually three garlands twisted together. Next I added the ornaments...first all of the green then the red. That helped to even out the color all the way around. Last, I added pieces of ribbon in between the ornaments. Love the way it turned out!
Here are the stairs...Oooh...that's a pretty good shot with my new camera! lol...I am still trying to figure everything out.

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS ... just gorgeous, Kristen! The owners must be thrilled again this year as to your magic. You've got the touch, for sure. Love that you added the garland and fun to the foyer chandie, too. And, okay ... I must have missed it, what kind of camera did you get? GREAT job!
ReplyDeleteIts surely a bright and cheerful Christmas at your house. You did a great job ~!!
ReplyDeleteI remember this house from last year, Kristen! It looks great again this year! Love the tree. I probably asked you the same question last year, but do you do the mesh continuous on the tree or cut pieces and tuck them in. I think I tried the cutting and tucking in last year, but I wasn't too sure of what I was doing. : ) How cool that the chandelier comes down at the touch of a switch. I'll bet that makes it much easier for cleaning!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is awesome, awesome, awesome. You are so good, and so busy girl! I loved the tree, and the wreaths, and the chande, and well, I just loved it all.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic job you did!! Looks amazing. It's so festive. I love the chandelier and the fact that it can be lower is awesome. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhere do you get all that energy? Wow! Good job. I can't find those glittery sticks anywhere here in DFW. Wish I could they add a lot to the display.
ReplyDeleteKristen, your ribbons and bows are gorgeous , please give a tutorial (in your spare time LOL) on making thse layered bows. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful, Kristen. That is definitely a tall tree! How clever that the chandelier lowers with the flip of a switch. That's a great idea in the tall, two story homes.
