Hey everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful start to your summer! It's warming up here in Arkansas, but the real heat will probably hit in July. I'm not ready for that! I wanted to share my patios with you before it gets too hot and all of my flowers shrivel up.
I have had the green conversation set for about three years. I bought new striped pillows and added the indoor outdoor rug I used to have in my kitchen. It worked well out here. I planted several kinds of flowers including begonias, petunias, and million bells. The ferns are doing well out here too.
Here is my baker's rack all dressed up for spring and summer.
I planted my own hanging baskets this year and they are just now starting to take off.
Love the butterfly pillow I found at T.J. Maxx.
This is the fire pit patio looking from the covered patio. We love to grill out here!
I used the same striped pillows along with some green pillows to bring the same colors to the fire pit patio.
I love all of my flowers! I'm so happy hubby lets me plant them out here on his (supposed to be) manly patio! Ha!
Sugar likes it out here too. He loves playing hide and seek around the shrubs.
Have a great summer! I'll be back to share more pictures soon. Sorry I was gone so long! For more regular posts you can follow me on Facebook.
Your backyard looks so cheery! I love the fire pit area. Sugar is too cute! He looks like my Kitty.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful! It would be so fun to sit out and have a glass of ice tea and look at all the pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Everything looks beautiful! I love the bright, cheerful colors--it is so inviting. I could easily spend a lot of time there!! Can you share where you found the low urns on your firepit patio? I've been searching for some like that with no luck. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so inviting! The perfect summer spots to lounge, and sip lemonade or a cocktail. The flower color combos are so pretty! Love it all!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks great, Kristen! I had to laugh at your plants shrivelling up. I bought a Verbena hanging basket that I thought would do well and it already looks dead, even after I was watering it. {I only had it two weeks!}. Yesterday I deadheaded to see if it will come back, otherwise I'm going to try petunias. You've got some great shade over by your fire pit patio.
ReplyDeleteKristen, everything looks so pretty. Your trees in the backyard sure have grown. You'll be getting lots of shade. :)
ReplyDeleteYour backyard and patio are so beautiful. I needed some inspiration! My patio has so much potential, but I just have trouble arranging around the BBQ pit and the gas grill and toys!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful, and very inviting ! You have worked very hard in creating your backyard oasis...

Whew, it is indeed getting warmer but I hope temperatures wouldn't rise to extremes this time. Your patio looks wonderful and well-maintained. I love the fact that you took time to design it and clean it to maintain its beautiful look. Good luck in future endeavors and I'll be surely to follow your posts, Kristen.

Your backyard is incredible, Kristen! I'm beyond envious of your lush, green grass! And, your flowers are beautiful ... love all of the colors you've included!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful yard and patio. I hope you will drop by my blog and read about Missouri farm life and lots more.
ReplyDeleteThe design of your patio is just perfect for the season! The colors look great and well-balanced. The green-orange combination looks pleasing to the eye. I also like the idea that you have a fire pit. You can roast marshmallows and hotdogs any time you want. A bonfire would also be a fun thing to do! :D

ReplyDeleteI love your patios! Although I think I like the firepit patio more. And I love that those trees give you enough shade. Well, seeing that the flowers are potted, he can always move them when he has a manly meeting on his porch. Haha!
