Whimsical Christmas Mantel 2013

It's that time of the year again! I hope you are all getting in the holiday spirit! I think I am by looking at this mantel! I decided to go with a whimsical theme this year. I used the garland I have been using on my mantle for several years over a mirror. I placed glittered trees and a beautiful Santa on the sides with Ho Ho Ho blocks in the middle. I added large flat metal decorative balls hanging from ribbons in front of the mirror and on the sides hanging down. They are attached to the garland. I used a wreath I made full of decorative ornaments on the fireplace screen and added decorative presents and the reindeer to create this whimsical look. It turned out very fun and festive!

I always get comments on my curtains every Christmas. They definitely seem to coordinate with my mantel décor!

I found the pillow at Pier 1 Imports.

The metal reindeer are from Sam's.

Most of the pictures were taken by friend and photographer Venus Nickell. She got some beautiful close up shots! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  3. Beautiful, as always, Kristen! : ) I love how this looks and how you brought the colors and everything from the mantel down to the fire screen and hearth area. Love that garland. I'm glad to see you got to your house early. I remember that you do other people's decorations, too, and I'm sure it is either an early or late type of thing for yourself.
