Christmas Elegance

Hello everyone!

First, I must say that I am so sorry I have not updated my blog in a while. Things have been so crazy lately and time has slipped through my fingers. However, if you follow me on Facebook then you will know that I have been very active on there. You have seen some of the houses I have been decorating and you will also know that I am extremely busy with my Etsy store. Everything hit at once and I guess I just wasn't as prepared as I thought! I am thrilled to be busy, but just need to find a way to balance everything. I have not even started decorating my own house yet but plan on doing just a little at a time starting this Saturday. I decorate the last house tomorrow and I'll have to say I am happy that I will be done! Now I will have more time to make items for you, update my blog, and think about my own house....which is much smaller than the one below. lol...

This house belongs to a good friend of mine. Some of you might remember it from years past. It is one big and beautiful home! My friend Sherry helps with alot of the houses and she had me hanging from that balcony in the dark trying to secure that wreath! lol...

She has a gorgeous entryway. We made the garland several years back but do change out the ribbon as needed from year to year. It has held up well...
This is the entryway...it really makes a statement!
She has a beautiful living room!

The mantle is gorgeous. We decorated the tree in deep reds and golds. I made the mantle piece several years back and it still looks as good as new.

This is definitely the most elegant mantle piece I've ever made.

The staircase is beautiful too. I made the garland several years ago but recently added new ribbons.

 What a beautiful fireplace!

Sherry and I added more ornaments and presents coming out of the top of this tree this year. It just needed that extra something to finish it off. Love the polk a dot ribbon...

More decorating pics to come soon...

I apologize for not posting my Share Your Creations party. I am going to suspend it one more week so I can play catch up.

Also, If you have made a mesh wreath from my 2011 Snowman mesh wreath tutorial please send me pics. I would love to post them here on my blog this Friday! My e-mail address is Kristenscreations@hotmail.com.

Have a great Thursday!

  5. Kristen- That home is just gorgeous. You did a great job with all the decorating there. I can just picture you hanging over the balcony. It made me laugh because I thought of girls in the old Westerns that would hang over the balconies to "advertise". You were kinda doing that except you were advertising Christmas decorating and not your other "goods"!;>) xo Diana
