I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Did you do get all of your shopping done? I didn't. I have done a little online, but have alot more to do. I try not to get stressed out about it until Christmas Eve..lol...then I start to panic! I have seriously waited that long before. This year I will get it done earlier!
I want to show you my dining room dressed up for Christmas. This year I decided to leave the table set. Last year I had a big arrangement in the middle with candle holders on each side and then changed it for Christmas lunch. I like the low change this year...
The centerpiece is made out of garland twisted around the candle holders . Some of you might remember it from last year, I did end up adding new ribbon this year. I found the glass candle holders at Wal-mart and added sugar. Then I set the candle down in the sugar for a snowy look. Do you see my Christopher Radko plates in the china cabinet? I bought those last year at Dillard's half price. I want to get six more so I can set the dining room table,(I just hate to take those out) but will have to wait until they go half price. They went up to $18 a plate this year! Whoa!! I really need them to be about 80% off but that's not going to happen..
This is the same place setting I used last year. I wish I could remember where everything came from, but unfortunately I don't. There is no telling! lol...
I love this shot with the blue in the background!

I love this shot with the blue in the background!
Someday maybe I can get the rest of the place settings to go with the dishes...I just love them!!
Here are some daytime shots...
I set the middle candle on a piece of Styrofoam to give it a little more height.
The glittered candles came from Kohl's.
Here is a daytime shot of the tree...it is loaded!
I redid the top of the china cabinet this year to coordinate with the tree. As you can see I added new mesh!
I decorated this floor candle holder with ribbon, ornaments and holly.
The dining room by day...still need a rug.
There is still time to enter my Christmas giveaway...I will draw a winner on Tuesday evening. It might be a little late...I forgot I was going out of town for the day. Be sure and stop by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning to see if you are the winner! Click HERE to enter.
Have a wonderful Monday!!

It looks very lovely and inviting. I like the floor candle holder and how you decorated the top of the china cabinet. I hope you can get the rest of the Christopher Radko plates. I so want the pedelstal bowl they have at one of the Dillard's in town. It all looks beautiful! Came from BNOP.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kristen! I think this is my first visit to your blog. I'm visiting from Susan's Tablescape Thursday. I am blown away by your incredibly beautiful tree and the treatment you gave the china cabinet! Both are stunningly beautiful!!! I love lush and full...my motto is "Go big, or go home!" for sure!!! You went all out!!! The table is very pretty, too. It is very inviting. Great idea to elevate that middle candle with a block of Styrofoam! I hope one day you can find those Christopher Radko dishes at a more reasonable cost. I hate to spend a fortune on dishes because I then cry like a spoiled baby when something gets broken. Oh, well...collateral damage it the correct term, I think! Or is is "the cost of doing business"? Whichever, I'll have to learn to live with it! Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteKristen, your dining room is so beautiful! I love your CR plates too! Your tree is spectacular! I love a really FULL tree. I am just seeing this post, I am so far behind in reading blogs. Have a wonderful Christmas!!! XO, pinky
