Old Timers Day

I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday evening! Today after church we headed down town to Old Timers Day. It's a little festival/craft fair that our town puts on in the spring and fall. There are lots of vendors selling jewelry, pottery, clothes, etc. But what I love most about it is the food!! This corn was yummy!! Oh my...what a picture!

There were tons of people there today. It was nice outside, but just a little cooler than usual. Click to enlarge this pic to see all of the heads crowding the street...lol.
I didn't take alot of pictures of the booths because the vendors seemed to be staring at me! lol...

I thought this pottery was really pretty and unusual so I snuck a quick pic.

There was jewelry everywhere! Some was handmade and some bought.

I snapped this picture because I loved that little painted secretary and mirror.

Here is Chase with a snow cone, one of the many things he ate today.

Here is my mom with her bag of kettle corn...yum! She has to get a bag every time we come...she actually got the small bag this time. lol...

There are all kinds of antique shops that line the street. I like to come down here every now and then and snoop through them. One of them is a really old book store. They have tons of old and new books! Some are reasonable and some are very expensive.

These were expensive! Of course these are the ones I like...

Here is another antique/junk store I like to snoop through. You just never know what you are going to find in here.

This old doll creeped Chase out! lol...He's not much into old things.

But he really wanted this soldier chess set...maybe for his birthday. He is actually on the chess team at school and has a tournament tomorrow. I hope he does well!

Like I said, you never know what you will find...I found this shadow box with old keys. It was only $2.95! Wow! I couldn't even buy the frame for that!
Isn't it neat? The keys might not really be old...but they sure look like it.

I came home and found a perfect spot for it...

So that was my day! Now we are cooking hamburgers out on the fire pit. Yum! I really don't need to eat anymore...lol. I'm still stuffed from all the food I ate at the festival. Have a great evening!!

  5. What do you mean, making fun of your photo?! You look great and it seems that all had such fun! Love the item you bought and in the home we've just purchased (I posted about just today) we will have cabinets such as yours on either side of the fireplace. I'm thrilled and so happy to have a fireplace once more to decorate during the seasons!
