Hey guys! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I can't believe it's almost the weekend already! I guess time really does fly by when you're having fun. I returned from Dallas yesterday with lots of goodies. We went to Dallas Market, but also went to Canton, Tx. What a great place! For those of you who have never been...it's a huge craft fair with tons of great stuff. I think it occurs several times a year. My main goal this trip was to find more Christmas and everyday "stuff" for my upcoming show in NW Arkansas. One of my main goals was to find more beautiful ribbon... I think I have enough to last a while now! These are just a few to add to my collection. I think I might have a ribbon hoarding problem... I love beautiful ribbon!
I decided to bring some supplies to Sherry's house so I could make a few things to post in my Etsy store when I returned. Well...she ended up with a few new frames...lol. Here is a scarecrow frame on her island.
This black fleur de lis frame looks beautiful in her living room. Her twin grand kids are adorable!! Her daughter is expecting another baby in just 2 weeks!
We went to a place called Paul Michael's in Canton. They had some great stuff and carry tons of the mesh. They were also making wreaths in the back. You might remember that I made some similar to this one last year. They had some great ideas and I ended up making this one for Sherry. I will be making several wreaths similar to this one for my show in NW Arkansas. I recently posted about my last trip to Dallas and getting to meet Teresa at Grammy Girlfriend. Well, she and her family are having a really hard time right now. Her husband of 37 years had a stroke. He is doing a little better, but is still in the hospital and really needs our prayers. Please say a prayer for Teresa and her family too... what a sweet lady.
I am posting some frames in my Etsy store and will be posting several more items over the weekend. Today I had to get caught up on house chores. Kevin and Chase think they are on vacation when I'm gone! Nothing gets cleaned...
Have a great weekend!
Thank you all for the happy birthday wishes!!

Kristen,
ReplyDeleteThose ribbons are gorgeous! I especially love the wreath. Sending up prayers for Teresa's husband as well. Have a great weekend!
Kristen,
ReplyDeleteLovely ribbon! I'll be anxiously awaiting to see more of your Kristen Creations in future posts!
Fondly,
Pat
That ribbon caught my eye also. You certainly have a gift.
ReplyDeleteThe ribbon you purchased is just amazing ~ love it all! The black frame you made for Sherry is my style. :)
ReplyDeleteCanton Trade Days is held every month on the first weekend of the month. Locals call it "First Monday". I have a dear friend that has been there for a few years now ~ she is an incredible artist and decorator. If you do go again, I'd love to share her info with you as I think you'd be so excited to see her creations!
Glad you had a good trip ~ at least our weather was good for you this trip. :-)

Wow! I glad you are back Kristen! I have been reading about Teresa and her husband. It is so sad. I am praying for them.
ReplyDeleteCan you make me another "M" frame with the three gorgeous rbbons on the farthest left side? A really poofy one. Wow! You really found some gorgeous ribbons to work with. I like the burgundy, the stripe and the taupe/brown. Maybe an ornate gold frame and a pretty colored rhinestone in the center. I'll put it in our formal living room. What do you think of that idea? Let me know if you have any ideas and want to send me a photo. I'll pay you with a check and for the watch too. I still want it if you have it. Sorry it took me so long but you know I wanted to see all of your new goodies.
Happy weekend!
~Melissa :)
Hi Kristen ~
ReplyDeleteLast week I ordered a "Beaded pumpkin arrangement" and I must say that it is BEYOND BEAUTIFUL - I knew the picture looked wonderful, but to see it in person - WOW. You are an extremly talented person & now I will be looking for other arrangements you create for the other seasons.
I placed it in the center of my fireplace mantel along with other fall decorations, but it is by far the best decoration I have on there.
I will be praying for Teresa's husband - I hope he continues to improve daily.
Have a great weekend & thank you again,
Diana from Colorado

Hi Kristen,
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about Teresa's husband. I hope he is still improving.
Your new wreath for the front door turned out great! I really like it.
Adult Nurse Practitioner Program But, of course, the most important time to wear these surgical masks is indeed during surgery since a patient's body is open during the procedure and is both extra vulnerable to infection from microorganisms passing from the surgeon and nurses as well as capable of passing potentially dangerous fluids and bacteria to the medical staff. The same thing applies for the case of a nurse. We shouldn't have to elaborate the dangers of allowing sex offenders to operate in a place where patients are often at their most vulnerable.
