Christmas Mantle 2012

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe Christmas is in less than a week? I sure can't. It has snuck up on me more than ever this year. I know some of you have been wondering what happened to me and I do apologize for being MIA here on my blog. The biggest reason I have not been around is because my business exploded! Pinterest and Facebook had alot to do with it. At times I had more business than I could  handle...but I did! lol...Thank goodness my mom and dad came over and helped me pack and ship my items or I don't know if I could have done it all. Don't get me wrong, I am beyond thrilled to have the business. I just know what I need to change for next year. I also decorate houses as alot of you know. Between the houses and business I had a lot going on. I hated not to keep my blog up, but every day was so busy I just could not seem to get a blog post together.  Things have slowed down for now so I will catch you up on pictures of my house. I still don't have my tree up and here it is Dec. 19! Oh My! I plan on putting it up tonight.

Here is my Christmas mantle. I left the mirror and lanterns I had up here for the fall. I used my garland from last year, made a wreath, and added lantern toppers with my Mark Roberts fairies.

I made the wreath out of all different colors and sizes of balls by gluing them onto the wreath. I added the lights after the wreath was done.

I love my little Mark Roberts fairies! They look so cute on top of the lanterns.

Here is a shot at dusk...This is definitely the focal point in my living room.

I will post the kitchen and dining room very soon. Have a great night!

Beautiful!! Will you please share how you attach the garland to your mantle w/o damaging it? I always end up laying my garland on top of the mantle because I wasn't sure how to do it securely. Thanks!

Lori, You can use command hooks. They work really well. I used tiny nails though. Most people don't like to put holes in the mantle and I can understand that. The holes are in the back of the mantle and cannot be seen. You should see the holes in my walls! lol...

Gorgeous, Kristen...absolutely gorgeous. Okay- so did you glue the bulbs right onto the greenery with hot glue? It looks great that way. What a show stopper! I have Mark Robert's fairies, too, and just love them- xo Diana

Thank you guys! NanaDiana,Yes, I hot glued the balls in to the greenery and then added the lights by wrapping them in with the greenery of the wreath.

Oh my so pretty, I am loving all the projects with bulbs (wreaths, garland, jar fillers)- afraid next year they are going to double in price. I think that I am going to be purchasing alot after the holidays this year for future projects.

It is so beautiful, I could just look at it all day. Yes, definitely the highlight of your living room. And you got the proportions perfect, too. It's not too overwhelming for the space or underwhelming. Fabulous job. I wish you lived around me, I would hire you to decorate my living room in a second! Happy Holidays.
