~~Summer Decks And Porches Party~~

Hey everyone! Things have been kind of crazy over the last several days and time got away from me! I have been planning a trip to Dallas and Branson. I am leaving Friday for Dallas and Tuesday for Branson...I'm excited about the trips, but I have been a little sad...our sweet old cat Coco is not doing well. She is probably around 17 years old...not sure. Her kidneys are starting to fail. We took her to the vet a few months ago and they said it was only a matter of time. So, we are taking care of her and keeping her comfy. As long as she is not in any pain we are going to let her live until the time comes. :(

Anyway, those are some of the reasons I have not been thinking clearly lately! Not to mention I have a house full of boys all the time! lol...It's definitely summer time!

I know that alot of you have all seen my patios before. However, I couldn't miss out on the summer blog party over at At the Picket Fence . Today's party is hosted by Kim at Savvy Southern Style. If you have never visited her blog you must! She has a beautiful home and wonderful ideas!

Everything is in full bloom right now! It might go down hill from here, so I'm glad I got some good pics while I could. lol...Kevin better water while I'm in Dallas! Luckily it will only be for a few days...whew! As for the Branson trip his uncle will be watering for us...and he picky so my flowers might look even better when I get back! lol...Anyway, You might remember from my last patio post I bought the conversation set at Wal-mart and had the striped pillows made to coordinate. Are you wondering what's in that terracotta bowl by the iron rack?

My turtles! My neighbor found one of them on the street a while back. Well, I couldn't believe it but Kevin found the other one in our yard! Weird! The only thing we could think of is that it got washed up in our yard when we had so much rain. I love watching these little guys swim and bask in the sun. When the glass door opens they think it's time to eat and they look up at me and swim just as fast as they can looking for the food! lol... I think I have mentioned that I am a turtle lover!
I love having the metal rack out here to display garden items and flowers. I spy some turtles!

Here is a complete view of the conversation set we bought at Wal-mart. It's on sale now! They also have it in a tanish color.

We are loving it! It's too hot during the day, but in the morning and night it's perfect to sit and have a cup of coffee or tea.

My begonias are thriving!

I have two of these hanging baskets and they are just beautiful! Wanna know my secret? Miracle Gro Shake n Feed, Continuous Release.
That stuff works!

Love the creeping jenny hanging on the brick.

I found this cute metal bird at Dallas market. Hobby Lobby has him now if you are interested.

Here is a view sitting on the sofa looking out on the fire pit patio.

Here's the fire pit patio! Sassy loves to sit out here sometimes and get some sun.

My flowers are doing great out here too. We have been doing alot of cooking on the fire pit!

We bought the bench a few years ago. It's about time for a paint job! I recently had the cushion and pillows made for it.

Love all the colors! Makes me happy!

Let's take a look at a few things growing in the garden...To hear me describe this cantaloupe you would think it was the size of a basket ball! lol...Ok, not quite, but it's getting big!

The tomatoes are looking good too! It won't be long...can't wait!

Kevin is proud of his peppers!

Well, I went wildflower picking again. I found some black eyed susans and butterfly weed. The butterfly weed is the orange cluster flowers. They grow wild and attract butterflies, I drove several miles to find them! lol...Do you notice anything funny about my candle holders? I mentioned that I always have a house full of boys. Well, this is what they did when I wasn't looking. lol...In a way it's kinda cute!

But of course I fixed it...

I will be sporadic about posting over the rest of this week and next, so bear with me. Also, I am not going to post my "Show and Sell" blog party this week or next. I am actually going to change things up a bit and give the party a new name. I would love for you to participate! I"ll tell you more about it later.

New items coming to my Etsy store tonight!

Have a great week!!

All of your flowers are gorgeous! Going to Walmart tomorrow to get me some Shake and Feed :)
Love all the color in your yard!
We had a cat for 16 years and it broke our heart when it was "time".

All of your flowers are gorgeous! If by chance you are going to market in Dallas and find another crystal heart like one you had on a frame I purchased, I would love to order another frame. Have a fantastic trip(s)!
Our 15 yr. old cat, Simba, passed last summer. My thoughts are with you.

Sorry to hear about your cat. We have a very young cat that just fell out of a tree twice, probably about 50 feet high. Last night she had a kitten (we weren't sure she was even pregnant). Needless to say, my girls are thrilled! :)

Your deck looks gorgeous. Love how you brought it all together to look like an extension of your house. Beautiful.

I love how you've coordinated your cushions and flowers, Kristen! That set you got at Walmart is perfect and I love how the green cushions here pick up on the greenery you've got around it. I need to get a new set, but I think I'm going to wait until we actually move so I know what I have space wise.

Obviously, you've taken excellent care of Coco for her to live 17+ years.
The reds, yellows, greens in both porch and firepit areas in the pillows and flowers all flow nicely together.

Ummm Miracle Gro Shake and Feed? Well, going to get some today! Your metal hutch inspired me to purchase one off of Craigs List for my patio! I love it. Thank you for the inspiration. Your yard is beautiful. Sorry to hear about your kitty. It's hard to lose a beloved pet!

I love the fire pit area...We have a stone fire pit as well and have been working on doing some stonework in our yard...I don't know about you but I have to take a lot of my cushions and decorations down almost every night when the rain starts rolling in...Do you have to do the same thing? (It's a pain but looks so beautiful when it's nice out)
