It's A New Year And It's Time To Get My Rear In Gear!!!

Hey guys!!! I hope you are all doing well! I know it's been a while since my last post...in fact it's been WAAAAY to long! I didn't mean to wait so long...I'll have to be honest though...after Christmas and New Years I sort of lost my creativity and drive. If you have been reading my blog for a while then you know it comes and goes...lol. I have also had a heck of a cold the last four days and I'm a baby when it comes to not feeling good. Anyway...enough excuses!! It's time to get things done around here! My rear is in gear!! lol...
I did manage to get my house back in order after I got all the Christmas stuff put up. It took a while though and my Christmas stuff is still in the garage. When I start putting my everyday stuff back out I always want something new! I was in Hobby Lobby last week and the black canisters with the fruit really caught my eye! They were half price so I had to have them. They look pretty good with Mr. Polk a dot roo.
I set my table with the black rooster plates and redid the orchid arrangement.

My living room stayed like this for quite a while! lol...Finally I decided to get things back in order. Oh my!

Much better...

I got my little workroom back in order too. I'm telling you...I would open the door and just shut it! It was a disaster and I was so overwhelmed I didn't know where to start! I can finally work again! Yay! I don't want to show you the whole room though...it's still a work in progress. I don't even have a chair yet...I keep having to pull up the piano bench. Looking for a chair...

At least I can see my ribbon now!
Now I have no excuses not to work! lol...I will be listing several new items in my Etsy store over the next few days. If you are interested please check back!

I love your black rooster plates, Kristen {and I'm not even into roosters ~ bunnies are my weak spot}! Your living room always looks great. I still have a few things laying around from Christmas that need to be put away and I still have a few bins to bring back down to the basement. I'm hoping for the energy to do that this week and just get it put away already!

Hi Kristen! I hope you had a happy Christmas with your family.
Love seeing all that pretty ribbon. My craft/sewing room is a disaster. I clean it but the minute I do anything in there it becomes a mess again! ha
Sorry to hear you've been sick. I hope you feel better soon.

Taking a break is good :) it shows you have your priorities in order! Of course we always love it when we have your time, but I'd rather have you rested and happy than trying to please those that don't share your home space. They are the important ones :) Happy New Year!

Everything in your house looks fresh and clean, as always. I, too, just got done with all the packing. I was traveling but got back to snow and being stuck in the house. It was a good time to tackle it all.
I come and go with my blogging, too. There is always so much to do and so little time. lol

Can you tell me where you purchased your cream colored cabinet which has two buffet lamps on it. I love it!!!

And your candleholder with the bling on it on the sofa table.

Thanks!!!

Kristen,
I can identify with the creativity lacking department. What is it about the holidays that puts ones designing in the "dead" zone? I have put my Studio back in order and now I need to get busy, as well. Think I need a dealine to push me into motivation!
Fondly,
pat

I know I just left a comment...I checked out your etsy site. You have some lovely things, but I just want you to get those ribbon spools rolling and make some more tassels! The cross one is lovely, but I would love to see some more (maybe even find one that can come live at my house!)
