~~Tropical Master Bedroom~~

Hey guys! I hope you have all had a wonderful week! I've been very busy working at the interior store AND from home...whew! I'm enjoying being busy right now and I'm sure I won't slow down until after Christmas.

I thought I would join "Show us your life" hosted by Kelly at Kelly's Corner. I have been reading her blog ever since she had Harper. What a little doll! If you have never visited her you must! She is also from Arkansas. This week's theme is Master Bedrooms. I posted this room over a year ago so alot of you have probably not seen it. This room is decorated in a tropical theme with tropical flower bedding, parrot art, iron and rich dark woods. Let's take a little tour...trust me, it won't take long! Our room is VERY small.

Come in...

Ok...tours over! this is just about it! lol...

I still love the bedding. I fell in love with it when I saw it at market when we were building the house. I had to have it! It was a little bit of a splurge, so it will be a while until I make a change.

I bought the chandelier lamps at the interior store where I used to work. They are definitely my favorites! There is not alot of room on each side of the bed, so these little tables will have to do.
See the parrot art? I am facinated with parrots, I used to have one named Peppy. He was fun, but we had to get rid of him because he was a little moody and could probably bite a finger or two off!The armoire is from Lane Furniture and I bought the orchid art at Kirkland's in Florida.
I had the chair recovered in the green fabric to coordinate with the bedding and curtains.

I had these curtains made...I love the little ball fringe.

This is a picture of Kevin's mom, Diane. She died of cancer 3 years ago and we miss her very much. This picture hangs beside his side of the bed.

Thank you for checking out our tropical bedroom! Now if I could just move to the beach...

Keep checking my Etsy Store...I am listing new items daily. If you ordered something from me in the last few days you should be receiving it soon! Have a great weekend!!

Hi Kristen!
What a beautiful master bedroom. This is the 1st time I am seeing it, so what a treat it is for me. I adore your bedding and the colors. The artwork is just lovely and really compliments the bedding. The photograph of your husband’s mother is precious and so heartwarming. I love your armoire, very elegant. Hmm, maybe I should add one in my master bedroom. =)

Thanks so much for sharing. I enjoyed the tour!

By the way, your fall arrangements are GORGEOUS...definitely eye candy!

Happy Fall! ~Liz

Kristen! Your bedroom is so very pretty...and looks completely done. My bedroom always seems to be a work in progress. Oh, those lamps are to die for gorgeous. I love those little tables too. Scary about your parrot story! We used to have parakets.

Kristen it is so pretty in here! It had been so long I forgot about your beautiful master bedroom. I adore your gorgeous bedding and the large armoire. Very nice warm colors too. Who knows maybe I will switch to warm colors in our master bedroom when we move again one day. It looks great!

I still want the watch and have been keeping an eye on your etsy store for something else I may like. I'm just not sure what? I almost feel like I'm running out of room for new things. Almost....LOL! What else are you making today? Any more frames? What kinds of other charms did you find at market for them?

Have a great day! ~Melissa :)

Very beautiful...just like the rest of your home. You haven't seen small until you see my current bedroom. :-) Sorry I didn't make it to your shop after the emails...have been feeling lousy and barely up & trying to do a few things today. I will keep my eyes peeled for new items though. I do appreciate the info!

Have a blessed weekend and get some rest ~

I almost feel as though I am looking at my Master bedroom! I have the EXACT same bedding, and I did something different for the curtains from what the set had. The art in the room is all very close to what I have. That is weird! You have great taste though if I do say so myself!
